Concorde Gastro and Kips Bay Center Team Up for the Colon Cancer Challenge
- Posted on: Mar 5 2015
Affecting men and women, colon cancer is the third leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States, but with awareness and early screening, this deadly disease is preventable. Dedicated every March, Colon Cancer Awareness month is held annually in order to offer support, educate and spread awareness. Colon Cancer Awareness Month is a time where supporters, survivors, patients, and caregivers come together to spread knowledge, offer support to those battling the disease, and to hold fundraising events in order to help raise funds.
The Colon Cancer Challenge is a fundraiser held across the United States that offers family, friends, corporations, and survivors of colon cancer an opportunity to raise public awareness and help contribute to the fight against this fatal disease. This month the Colon Center Challenge will be held in two locations in New York, as the celebration begins at Citi Field, and moves to Manhattanville College in Westchester one week later.
Live in, or will be in the NY metro area this month and want to get involved? Join us and support our team, Concorde Gastroenterology and Kips Bay Endoscopy Center, at the 12th Annual Colon Cancer Challenge. Held on March 22, 2015, this event will take place at Citi Field in Queens from 10 am to 2 pm. You don’t have to have to register or donate to join us; come visit our booth and help us support a great cause with family and friends!
