Under the leadership of nationally recognized liver specialist (Hepatologist) Hillel Tobias, M.D., PhD, Concorde Gastroenterology is pleased to have a special division devoted to the treatment of the diseases of the liver. Under the leadership of Dr. Tobias, Clinical Professor of Medicine at New York University Medical Center, a director of the Hepato Biliary Service and Medical Director of the Liver Transplant Service at N.Y.U., the group is active in clinical research and clinical trials for cutting edge treatments of liver disease. With the rapidly evolving exciting new treatments for hepatitis C the division is offering many new exciting and highly curative treatments for hepatitis C. In addition to Dr. Tobias, our highly specialized team of dedicated and board-certified physicians include: Edward M. Brettholz, M.D., Jonathan Cohen, M.D. (Therapeutic Biliary Endoscopy), Alex Sherman M.D., Scott Weber M.D., and other members of our Gastroenterology division. The Liver Group also supports the Midtown Manhattan Hepatitis C Patient Support Group that meets the last Wednesday of each month at the New York University Langone Medical Center. The division is committed to providing the best in diagnosis and treatment and provides referring physicians and their patients with access to the latest advances in diagnostic assessment, treatment, and liver transplant.
